Who We Are
Henderson Sparrows is a brand-new competitive volleyball club. We don't have a 10-year track record. We don't have a 40,000 square foot facility. We don't have a roster of former D1 coaches or a decade of tournament banners.
What we have: athletes who refuse to be outworked, a coaching philosophy that believes in development over politics, and the conviction that the most relentless team in the gym beats the most established one.
Sparrows displace birds twice their size. They thrive where nothing else survives. They're not flashy. They're everywhere, and they never stop working. That's us.
If your athlete is the kind of kid who doesn't quit, who wants to be pushed, who's willing to be uncomfortable to get better: this is her team.
We earn it. Every rep, every practice, every point. The scrappy underdog wins by being relentless when everyone else takes the easy path.
We don't flinch. We serve aggressively after a miss. We swing hard after getting blocked. Underdogs have nothing to lose.

Club season coming. The fall is our proving ground. We're building toward a full USAV/AAU club season: more age groups, tournament play, sport psychology support, and expanded programming. Get in on the ground floor.
Coaching
13U Elite & Rec · Fall 2026
We're finalizing our head coach for the inaugural season. Whoever leads these teams will share our commitment to fundamentals, competitive fire, and a culture where every athlete is coached, not just the starters.
A great swing that gets dug is still a great swing. We coach the process.
13-year-olds buy in when they understand the reason. We teach, not dictate.
High standards and high support aren't contradictions.

Because we're not pretending to be something we're not. We're new, we're small, and we're building from scratch. The athletes who join now get more attention, more coaching, and more say in what this becomes. The fall season is low-cost and low-risk. Come see for yourself.
Competition level. Elite is for athletes ready to compete at a higher intensity. Rec is for athletes transitioning from school/PE volleyball to organized play. Both teams practice 2x per week, both play Saturdays, and both hold the same standard: be relentless, rise together.
They measure championships. We measure effort. No inflated fees, no "elite" branding that's just a markup, no politics around playing time. We publish everything, develop everyone, and compete like we have something to prove. Because we do.
Good. Multi-sport athletes are our people. We work around school commitments and don't punish athletes for having a life outside volleyball. Just communicate.
TBD. Final cost bundles NYS registration, team jerseys, and court fees together. We're finalizing numbers and will publish before you commit. No hidden fees. No fundraising obligations. No surprises. This won't be a $5K club season.
Elite: athletes who can bump, set, and are ready to compete hard. Rec: athletes who are learning and want organized play with coaching. Both: willingness to work and be coached.
Games on Saturdays, practice 2x per week. Season runs roughly 8-10 weeks starting late September. Competitive but not consuming.
We build. Club season, more age groups, tournament play, sport psychology support for athletes. The players who are here from day one are the foundation. Every big thing started small and scrappy.
